Transportation from Wroclaw to Kudowa Zdroj

There will be three buses leaving Wrocław around (i) 1:00 PM, (ii) 3:00 PM and (iii) 5:30 PM – all from Faculty of Chemistry at 14 Joliot-Curie Street. The buses, after departure from the Faculty of Chemistry, will go through the Wroclaw Airport to pick up those of you who will be there.

If anybody will arrive after the latest bus (~18:10) then we will try to arrange a more individual solution.

All the above require that we know the time of your arrival and the place from which you wish to be picked up (Wroclaw Airport, Faculty of Chemistry). For that we ask you to fill the simple Internet form.

After you arrive to Wrocław:
We are planning on having assistants at the airport.
In case you have to wait for a long time before the bus - come to the Faculty of Chemistry.
There will be a canteen and a luggage storage there, and the city center is not far away.
We will add more details later this week.

Departure from Kudowa Zdroj after the conference will be on Friday 13.09.2019. Buses will depart after breakfast, around 10:00 and 11:00.




Public transport 

Wrocław offers an extended network of public transport. We recommend time tickets, which allow an arbitrary number of changes within the ticket validity time. Time tickets are valid on all of the trams and urban* buses, including night lanes. Most likely, you would use 30 min (3 PLN, 0.7 EUR) or 1h (4.6 PLN, 1.1 EUR) ticket. 
 
Planning your route is most convenient with jakdojade.pl (also availbale as application at Play Store and App Store), which also shows you the kind of ticket you need. Enter "Joliot-Curie 14" as your destination in order to get to the Faculty of Chemistry.

If you plan on travelling around Wrocław for a day or so - use 24h (11 PLN, 2.6 EUR), 48h (20 PLN, 4.7 EUR) or 72h (26 PLN, 6 EUR) ticket. 
Note that several trips might cost as much as a 24h ticket.

Tickets can be purchased via ticket machines at bus stops (paper ticket, cash and card), right on board (paypass/paywave card only, virtual ticket bound to the payment card) or via Skycash app (virtual ticket, card or skycash credits). 

Public transport is also the cheapest way to travel from Wrocław Airport. Taking airport shuttle would require you to use public transport anyway, for instance to get to the Faculty of Chemistry from the railway station. 

*Most buses in Wrocław are urban buses (in yellow and red livery). Suburban buses usually have distinctively different livery and require separate tickets. Thus, if you are not asked to pay at the entrance - it is an urban bus. 


Taxi

Uber (Play Store, App Store) is acceptably cheap in Wrocław, with no language barrier. From the airport it should cost you something like 50-100 PLN (12-23 EUR).
